I'm still a virgin blogger and this is my first. Be gentle, but don't be too shy. I welcome those logged in to comment and give your two cents. Soon all alumni will get log in ID's and passwords. The more people who comment on my blog the more you legitimatize my name dropping.
Recent events - Last Tuesday we had lunch with Stewart Morris. At the lunch meeting were alumni Daniel Chang (06), John Brawely (04), team captain Sean Monks, and team treasurer Kurt Wilson.
Stewart generously agree to support the team by donating various items via Stewart Title. Stewart will host an event at his house on Friday, September 7 for the current team and ALL alumni. September will be an eventful month for alumni with the Rugby Alumni football tailgate on Sept 1, Stewart's House on September 7, and the first rugby game on September 15. Rugby alumni and friends are encouraged to attend all events so mark your calenders. It will be a lot of fun and having a large presence really helps the team. We do matter. Early this summer we had a dinner meeting with Chip Matthews who too has been a phenomenal supporter of the team.
About two weeks ago I had phone call with Sam Johnson ('90). I helped answer a few of his questions regarding team activities. He is working in NYC and is training for a marathon. Last night I had a meeting with Mike FlynnObrien ('02) who is the creator and master of the website. He is free for the next month - so email any suggests to him or me. After wards I went to Goode Company Barbecue near the village. I ran into Ramzi Nassar and his wife. Ramzi created an IT company in Dubai. He was returning to Houston for a break and to do some networking.
